Hazelnut Huddle
Hazelnut latte. Warm, nutty, cold.
- 250 ml can
- Zero Sugar
- Core
- 80 mg per can
Hazelnut Huddle is a hazelnut latte in a can, made with real coffee and without sugar, from the PEWES ENERGY Coffee Culture range. Cold brew with milk and roasted hazelnut: warm and nutty on a cold can, and the one that tastes most like a good cafe. Every can is 250 ml, meant to be drunk cold, and Hazelnut Huddle comes in three caffeine strengths.
What Hazelnut Huddle tastes like
It is the most comfortable can in the range, the one to share a table over.
On the shelf Hazelnut Huddle sits in the roasted group, which is how the shop sorts flavours: by what they taste of rather than by what they are called. If Hazelnut Huddle is not quite your corner of the range, Vanilla Overdrive and Mocha Rush Hour are the closest neighbours.
Real coffee, no sugar
Hazelnut Huddle starts as cold brew, coffee steeped in cold water for hours, which is why it is smooth where a hot coffee poured over ice turns sour. It is made without sugar. That is a recipe decision rather than a diet claim: the coffee carries the drink, and nothing is added to make it heavier than it needs to be. The milk rounds it off and the flavour sits behind the coffee rather than in front of it.
Coffee Culture is the working end of the brand. Ten cans, two of them black and eight of them iced lattes, drawn on the same paper as the energy drinks so they read as family on the shelf. If you want the push without the coffee, the Guilt Free Pleasures energy drinks are the same idea in fruit; if you want something quieter, Herbal Delights is the tea range.
Caffeine: light, standard or a boost
Every Hazelnut Huddle can comes in three strengths, and all three cost the same. Light has 40 mg in the can, about a cup of green tea. Standard has 80 mg, roughly what a filter coffee gives you. The boost has 96 mg, twenty percent more, for the afternoons that need it. There is no caffeine free version of the coffees: the caffeine comes from the coffee, and coffee with the caffeine taken out is a different drink. You pick the strength on this page before you add the can to your cart.
We publish the milligrams and nothing else. If you want to read about caffeine itself, the European Food Safety Authority keeps a plain summary, and it is a better source than a drinks brand. The drinks are not meant for anyone under eighteen, and the can says so.
The can Hazelnut Huddle comes in
The artwork is drawn rather than rendered. Hazelnut Huddle wears the torn paper and city ink of the coffee range with the pewee, the small loud bird that ends up on every can, awake but still for once, and the hazelnut latte drawn by hand instead of photographed. One document holds every wrap in the catalogue, which is why a coffee and an energy drink from different ranges still look like family. There is more about that in One document, every wrap and on the about page.
What Hazelnut Huddle costs
Hazelnut Huddle is sold by the can and gets cheaper the more of it you take: ten percent off from four cans, seventeen percent from twelve, twenty five percent from twenty four. The discount applies to the whole line as soon as the quantity reaches the threshold, so there is no pack to buy and nothing to work out on paper.
If it becomes a habit rather than an experiment, a monthly subscription takes another ten percent off every delivery and lets you pick the day it arrives. You can change the cans, move the date, pause it or stop it from your account, without writing to anybody.
Is Hazelnut Huddle the right can for you?
Buy Hazelnut Huddle if you want a hazelnut latte that is cold, made with real coffee and made without sugar. Skip it if you are after fruit or tea: the whole range is on one page, filtered by sugar and by taste, and Vanilla Overdrive and Mocha Rush Hour are the two cans most people compare this one with.
